Is Iceland over-photographed? Probably. That’s exactly where Kersten Luts & I started on the Camera Shake Photography Podcast, and it turned into a much better conversation than I expected.
We go back to the beginning: growing up in Belgium, ending up here, and slowly turning this into the thing I do for a living. Then the parts that actually fill my calendar. Photographing active eruptions without doing anything stupid. Finding a composition in places that have been shot from the same tripod holes for a decade. Drone work. Running photo workshops in Iceland, Greenland & Antarctica.
We also get into the business side and I’m not going to lie: that’s the part I think most photographers underestimate. It matters more than whatever camera you’re saving up for. To me it’s the difference between a hobby that costs money and a job that pays for itself.
