I’m honoured to share that I have been selected as a Northern Lights Photographer of the Year 2021 by Capture The Atlas!

The photograph which was selected to be on this list, is the shot I managed to take in April of this year with the aurora borealis dancing above the eruption of Fagradalsfjall in Geldingadalir. It’s not only great to be featured in this impressive list but also to be listed between other great photographers.

This photograph is very special to me. Not only because of how rare this occurrence is but also because of the effort it took to take it. I wrote a blog on it some time ago and I even dedicated a whole chapter to it in my book about the eruption, New Earth.

If you’re interested in seeing the whole list, you can do that on the website of Capture The Atlas.
