Today I received an email informing me that I have won the ‘Snow and Ice’ Special Award in the International Landscape Photographer Of The Year 2024 awards. It’s the first time I participate in this competition and I am really honored I received this special prize.
The image that received me the award is one I captured during my recent photo workshop in East Greenland. I spotted this unique spiral of floating chunks of ice in a remote area near Scoresbysund in East Greenland. I really liked this spiral and it only appeared momentarily. A few moments later, the spiral was no more.
I captured this photograph as a 3-shot bracketed vertical panorama with the DJI Mavic 3 Pro.
