Lífsæðar (translation: ‘Life Veins‘) is a top-down aerial photograph taken during the 2021 Fagradalsfjall eruption.

Taken close to the main crater of the Geldingadalir eruption, I found this lava flow which had a beautiful texture with so many smaller flows that they almost looked like veins.
