This September I’m back in Belgium for another lecture. On Friday the 25th, I’m the guest speaker at Fotoclub ISO9450 in Denderhoutem, and if you’re anywhere nearby, I’d genuinely love to see you there.

2026 has turned into a year of talking. Birmingham for the Photography & Video Show, Genk for Fotodag, a handful of club evenings in between… I’ve spent a big chunk of this year in front of a room full of photographers, and it’s easily become one of my favourite parts of the job. You can always see where I’ll be next on my lectures & talks page. That’s me below at Fotodag in Genk this spring, mid-story. A blog post can show you the pictures. It can’t give you the story behind them the way a dark room and a big screen can.

What To Expect From The Evening

The evening runs from 19:30 to 21:30 and I’ll walk you through my parcours as a photographer. It starts with an impulsive weekend trip to Iceland in 2013, runs straight into the creative block COVID dropped on me, and lands on the volcanic eruptions that changed everything. Expect stories from Iceland, Greenland & Antarctica, and images that only exist because I was cold, tired & standing in the right place at the right time.

Signed Copies Of New Earth

I’ll also bring a stack of my book, New Earth, along on the night. If you’ve been meaning to grab a signed copy, this is your chance.
