On Saturday April 26th I was present at the FEP Photo Day 2025 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Organized by the FEP, the Federation of European Photographers, we were treated to lectures by talented photographers from all over Europe, workshops, camera equipment on display by various brands and much much more. It was also the perfect opportunity to network with likeminded professional photographers from all over Europe, attend the FEP Awards 2025 and I even took the stage twice to do two lectures on my work as a full-time landscape & wildlife photographer.

Speaking About My Passion & Work
I had the opportunity to give not one but two lectures during the FEP Photo Day 2025.
My first lecture was titled “Sharing Experiences Through Nature Photography” during which I spoke about the increasing presence of artificial intelligence, and how sharing and experiencing stories in photography has become increasingly more important. I shared my journey in photography and how I went from looking for memories to creating them for others.
My second and longest lecture (1,5 hours), was titled “Photographing Volcanoes” which was all about my tireless efforts in capturing the rawest natural force I have ever experienced. In the last four years, I have been on the front-line documenting the seemingly endless series of volcanic eruptions in Iceland.
Thanks to my friend Markus van Hauten for taking a few snapshots during the lectures.
Fifth Place In The ‘Landscape’ Category
I also had the honor of being a finalist, for a third consecutive year, in the FEP Awards. I participated in the Landscape category and managed to snatch the fifth place this year. As always, thank you to everyone who has supported me in the last years, whether it has been by simply following my work, sending me encouraging messages, buying a book or a print, … Every little bit of encouragement helped me get to where I am at today.
I would also like to use this opportunity to congratulate all the other finalists and winners in each category. It has been an incredible pleasure to be in the company of so many great photographers.
For those who are interested, it’s possible to see all the competition results on the FEP website.
