A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of speaking with Perrin Adams on his podcast Great Big Photography World. In this hour-long conversation, we spoke at length about a great many things including my work surrounding the volcanic eruptions in Iceland and running photography workshops.

Below are a few of the talking points:

  • How I figured out when to trust my gut versus when to plan everything out for wild landscapes
  • What it’s actually like to shoot volcanoes and why every eruption is completely different
  • Why I run drone workshops in terrible weather and what people really learn from that experience
  • How growing up in crowded Belgium made me crave wide open spaces and quiet
  • Learning everything on your own, from volcanic science to telling stories with pictures
  • Why sometimes the best photo doesn’t need any editing – just good light and timing

If you’re interested in hearing my thoughts, you can listen to the podcast below. Enjoy!
