The results are in! I am happy to share that I have been Highly Commended with my photograph ‘Elddreki / Fire Dragon’ in the Siena International Drone Photo Awards 2024. ‘Elddreki / Fire Dragon‘ is an image I captured last summer during the Litli-Hrútur eruption. Interestingly, I captured this photograph with the impulsively purchased DJI Air 3, which I had just gotten a few hours before to replace my DJI Mavic 3 Pro as it had been damaged at the eruption just the day before.
I would like to congratulate the overall winners and other photographers who placed in this year’s competition. You can see the other images in the Abstract category on the website of the Siena Drone Awards.
What Are The Drone Photo Awards?
The Drone Photo Awards stands as the preeminent global contest for aerial photography and video. Organized under the umbrella of the Siena Awards, it carves out a distinct niche within the realm of photography, intentionally diverging from traditional forms. This competition welcomes submissions of aerial photography and videos captured through various means, encompassing fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, balloons, blimps, dirigibles, rockets, kites, and parachutes.
