As most of you already know, the last few months I have been working intensely on news coverage of the events near & in Grindavík. One related project was work I did for a short documentary on the situation, tasked by the Belgian national public broadcast, which is called ‘Beneath the Surface‘. Originally aired on VRT Canvas, the short documentary is now available internationally with english subtitles.

The documentary is about the ongoing series of volcanic eruptions that have been occurring near Grindavík, a village of 4000 people. The story begins right after the disastrous events of November 10th last year, which caused a massive ground displacement in Grindavík and heralded a possible eruption close to the town. I didn’t just supply a large amount of footage to help create the documentary, I am also one of the people featured to help give context to the situation.

If you’re a representative of a TV station, it is possible to get a screening license via Journeyman Pictures.
