Frequently Asked Questions

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept credit card payments, Apple Pay, IBAN wire transfers, PayPal and Icelandic wire transfers (in Icelandic Króna). It’s also possible to pay cash in Icelandic Króna, when picking up your order in Reykjavík, Iceland.

Which currency are you using in your shop?

The prices in my webshop are listed in either Euro, US Dollar, British Pounds or Icelandic Króna. This is automatically determined by your location but can also be changed during checkout. Most, but not all, payment methods are available for all currencies.

My credit card payment is always failing to go through. What’s happening?

In most cases, issues with credit card payments are related to 3D Secure. This is a new security method which is active for every card. If you experience any issues, please send me a message and I will try to find a solution for you.

I need an invoice. Can I get one?

Yes, you can after you placed the order and paid for it. Please send me a message via the contact page with your order ID and I will send you one.

Do you ship worldwide?

All prints are shipped worldwide for free.

All books and calendars are shipped wherever Pósturinn, the Icelandic Post, ships. This is pretty much everywhere in the world. The shipping cost is automatically calculated by Pósturinn during the checkout process.

Will I have to pay import duties on items purchased from your website?

Some countries may impose import duties on items purchased from my website. In some cases, for example prints, you might not have to pay import duties because the location these orders are fulfilled might be within your own region. Prints for destinations within the US or EU are, for example, printed within their respective regions. Some regions also do not impose import duties on printed books. If you have to pay VAT, import duties and/or administrative fees, it is your responsibility to pay these charges. It’s also important to verify that the VAT and import duties are correctly charged. In many countries, there is a lower VAT rate for books for example.

Are prices shown with VAT included?

All prices shown are with VAT included. When you select a country other than Iceland during checkout, prices will be shown with zero rate VAT during checkout. Please note that you are likely to pay VAT in your own country upon import.

Where do you ship the products from?

Orders which contain prints are fulfilled and shipped from various locations around the world to minimise shipping costs. This location is automatically picked based on your address. Depending on your location you might not have to pay VAT, import duties and/or administrative fees if the fulfilment center is within your region (applies for example to the EU).

Calendars and books are always shipped from Iceland. This means you are likely going to have to pay VAT, import duties and/or administrative fees.

Why does my order with a print and a book/calendar have two shipping options?

Prints are shipped from a different location than where I ship calendars and books from. For example, if your order contains a print and a book and/or calendar, you will get free shipping for the print and will be charged shipping for the book(s) and/or calendar(s).

Delivery, Refund and Returns Policy

What’s your return policy?

Because most products are custom-made, we do not offer returns and exchanges. Digital goods, such as e-books, can not be returned either. Of course, if there’s something wrong with your order, please reach out to me so we can find a satisfactory solution!

Can I exchange an item?

At this time, we don’t offer exchanges. Though rare, it’s possible that an item you ordered was mislabelled. If that’s the case, please let me know within a week after receiving your order. Include your order number and photos of the mislabeled item, and we’ll send you a new one, or issue a refund.

When will I get my order?

When shipping out calendars and books, it usually takes 1-2 days top fulfilling the order after which it is shipped out. When ordering prints, it takes 3–7 days to fulfill an order. Digital goods, such as e-books, are made available right away. Please be advised that delays are always possible due to COVID-19 or other circumstances.

The shipping time depends on your location, but can be estimated as follows:

  • USA: 3–4 business days
  • Europe: 6–8 business days
  • Australia: 2–14 business days
  • Japan: 4–8 business days
  • International: 10–20 business days

Where will my order ship from?

For prints, we work with an on-demand order fulfilment company, called Printful, with facilities worldwide. These facilities are automatically chosen based on your location. Calendars and books are shipped from Reykjavík, Iceland.

My order should be here by now, but I still don’t have it. What should I do?

Before getting in touch with me, please help us out by doing the following:

  • Check your shipping confirmation email for any mistakes in the delivery address.
  • Ask your local post office if they have your package.
  • Stop by your neighbors in case the courier left the package with them.

If the shipping address was correct, and the package wasn’t left at the post office or at your neighbor’s, please get in touch with me with your order number.

How do I track my order?

You’ll receive a tracking link via email when your order ships out. If you have any questions about your tracking or shipment, please get in touch with me.

I received a wrong/damaged product, what should I do?

We’re so sorry if the product you ordered arrived damaged. To help us resolve this for you quickly, please get in touch with me within a weeks’ time with photos of the damaged product, your order number, and any other details you may have about your order. We’ll get back to you with a resolution as soon as possible!
