Iceland is where it all began for Jeroen Van Nieuwenhove. Originally from Belgium, he first travelled to Iceland in 2012 which turned out to be a journey that changed the course of his life. Drawn back year after year by its raw landscapes, dramatic wildlife and ever-changing light, he eventually moved to Iceland in 2016 to pursue photography full-time. In 2023, he became an Icelandic citizen, completing a personal and creative journey more than a decade in the making.
Today, Iceland is both his home and his greatest source of inspiration. From volcanic eruptions and glacial ice to Arctic foxes, puffins and sweeping aerial perspectives, this gallery showcases a curated collection of his landscape, wildlife and drone photography captured throughout the years of living and exploring the island.
