A collection of aerial and landscape photographs made during several colourful summer nights deep in the Icelandic highlands.

In the early summer of last year, I set out with my friend Gabor Nagy to spend a weekend exploring the southern region of the Icelandic highlands. The mountain roads had finally been declared open for the summer and the weather conditions had been exceptional in the whole country the weeks before. Because of this, we were very hopeful to experience some exceptional conditions in the Fjallabak area. It turned out to be a weekend beyond even our wildest expectations. All of these photographs were made in a two-day period.
