As I was writing this new blog, I noticed I seem to have much slower blogging days around this time of year. Let’s call it blogging hibernation – even though I was also running several photo workshops!

However, today I am breaking the silence today to share with you all some great news which arrived in my inbox this morning. I’m happy to announce that I am one of the finalists in the FEP Awards 2025. I was selected with my work in the category ‘Landscape‘. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday April 26th 2024 in Copenhagen (Denmark), which I will attend in person.

More information can be found on the website of the Federation European Photographers.

Lectures on FEP Photo Day 2025

I am also honored to share that I will be giving two lectures on the FEP Photo Day 2025, which is held on the same day as the FEP Awards ceremony: Saturday April 26th.

My first lecture is titled “Sharing Experiences Through Nature Photography” during which I will talk about the increasing presence of artificial intelligence, and how sharing and experiencing stories in photography has become increasingly more important. I will share my journey in photography and how I went from looking for memories to creating them for others.

My second lecture is titled “Photographing Volcanoes” which will be all about my tireless efforts in capturing the rawest natural force I have ever experienced. In the last four years, I have been on the front-line documenting the seemingly endless series of volcanic eruptions in Iceland. What started out as a dream-come-true, quickly turned into a mission to document every single aspect of seeing new earth being formed in front of my eyes.

Hopefully I get to see some of you there!
