Fine Art Prints – FAQ

Below you can find the most frequently asked questions in regards to the limited edition prints Jeroen sells. If you can’t find the information you are looking for, please refer to the Contact page where you can submit your questions.

If you have questions specific to the webshop, such as about payment methods and policies, please refer to the shop FAQ page.

What can I expect when ordering a limited edition fine art print?

Each image will be printed on museum quality Giclée Hahnemühle Photorag fine art paper, which is some of the best quality paper out there. Prints on this paper last for a 100+ years. Surrounding the image is a white border of 15mm on the short end and 11mm on the long end. This makes it easy to frame in a passe-partout or standalone. Each print is digitally signed and numbered at the bottom of the print.

All photographs, printed on the Hahnemühle paper, are limited to these sizes and quantities. Some photographs might have been available in the past in other sizes and finishes during, for example, photography exhibitions.

Which sizes are available & in which quantities?

Unless otherwise specified, each print is available in the following sizes and as a limited run in this finish:

  • A3 (30cm x 42cm, 11.7inches x 16.5inches): 30 prints
  • A2 (42cm x 59cm, 16.5inches x 23.4inches): 20 prints
  • A1 (59cm x 84cm, 23.4inches x 33.1inches): 10 prints

All photographs, printed on the Hahnemühle paper, are limited to these sizes and quantities. Some photographs might have been available in the past in other sizes and finishes during, for example, photography exhibitions.

What does it mean that prints are 'time limited'?

Three times per year, Jeroen will be selecting new photographs that will become available as limited edition fine art prints. This means that the prints you can see today are not available forever and are therefore limited in time as well as in numbers.

What is included with my purchase?

When buying a print, you can expect the following:

  • A sturdy packaged fine art print, with a white border, on Giclée Hahnemühle Photorag fine art paper – digitally signed and numbered.
  • A certificate of authenticity.
  • A thank you letter.

What does "digitally signed" mean?

Because my fine art prints are created through a drop shipping company, called ThePrintSpace, I am not physically present when the prints are created and shipped. However, I still want to provide signed copies of all my prints. Therefore, I have uploaded a digital version of my signature which will be printed on each print.

Is the printing process carbon neutral & sustainable?

All photographs are printed and shipped by ThePrintSpace. ThePrintSpace use a carbon neutral printing, packaging and delivery process, which you can read more about on their website.

How will my print be shipped?

Depending on the size, prints are shipped either in reinforced tube or flat packaging to ensure they arrive safe and undamaged. The packaging is extremely sturdy. All prints are shipped via DHL courier.

When will I receive my print?

When ordering prints, it takes 2-3 days to fulfill an order after which it is shipped out using DHL.

The shipping time depends on your location, but can be estimated as follows:

  • USA: 3–4 business days
  • Europe: 6–8 business days
  • Australia: 2–14 business days
  • Japan: 4–8 business days
  • International: 10–20 business days

Please be advised that in busier periods, such as around Black Friday & Christmas, there can be a delay in shipping times.

How much does shipping cost?

Every print is shipped via DHL courier service for a flat fee of 1500ISK (roughly 10USD or 10EUR).

Will I have to pay import duties or VAT when I receive my print?

All orders destined for any destination other than Iceland, will not have VAT charged during checkout. When ordering fine art prints, each order is fulfilled within the region you are located in (if possible):

  • Prints for destinations within the EU, UK and US are printed within the same region. This means there are no import taxes on those orders.
  • When prints arrive to other destinations, you might be required to pay VAT, import duties and/or administrative fees. It is your responsibility to pay these charges.
