Grænagígur (translation: ‘Green Crater‘) is a photograph taken in a very remote corner of the Icelandic Highlands.
On a dreary day, deep in the Highlands of Iceland, Jeroen captured this frame showing on old eruption crater surrounded by endless lakes.
This photograph has won Bronze in the Belgian Photo Awards 2024 and has also been chosen as Best of Nation for Belgium in the World Photographic Cup 2025.
