This morning I had the pleasure to discover **I have received the Bronze medal in the very first edition of [the Belgian Photo Awards](https://belgianphotoawards.com/winners)**. The image that was commended is a recent shot, which I took deep in [the Icelandic Highlands](https://jvn.photo/gallery/icelandic-highlands/) during stormy weather. I am proud and grateful having received this award and want to take the opportunity to also congratulate all the other talented photographers who placed and/or won their respective categories. It is an honour to be listed with so many talented people.[image_with_animation image_url=”1136220″ image_size=”full” animation_type=”entrance” animation=”None” animation_movement_type=”transform_y” hover_animation=”none” alignment=”center” img_link_large=”yes” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” image_loading=”default” max_width=”100%” max_width_mobile=”default”][image_with_animation image_url=”1136309″ image_size=”full” animation_type=”entrance” animation=”None” animation_movement_type=”transform_y” hover_animation=”none” alignment=”center” img_link_large=”yes” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” image_loading=”default” max_width=”100%” max_width_mobile=”default”]

*I captured this vertical panorama during really windy and rainy conditions deep in the [Icelandic Highlands](https://jvn.photo/gallery/icelandic-highlands/) last summer. What really stood out to me is the saturated greens which you get in such wet conditions.*
